México, Distrito Federal, 28 de mayo, 2006.- El exitoso grupo mexicano RBD fue invitado por el magnate estadunidense Donald Trump para actuar en la final del certamen Miss Universo 2007, llevada a cabo en el Auditorio Nacional de la Ciudad de México. El popular grupo mexicano amenizó la etapa de desfile en traje de baño de las primeras 15 finalistas con un medley de temas de su primera producción en inglés, 'Rebels', como Wanna Play, Money money, entre otros.
RBD realizará una gira musical por Europa y Centro y Sudamérica durante los próximos meses, por lo que su participación en este evento de talla internacional da mayor proyección al ya popular grupo."Donald Trump nos invitó a estar en este evento tan importante y para nosotros es un honor", añadió Alfonso Herrera.
Los integrantes del grupo mexicano RBD aprovecharon al máximo su exposición durante el concurso de Miss Universo que se celebro anoche y que se transmitio en vivo a más de 600 millones de personas alrededor del mundo.
“Es algo muy importante para nosotros porque (el concurso) tiene una difusión en 160 países”, en algunos de los cuales nunca han tenido la oportunidad de escucharlos, por lo que esperan dar su mejor actuación, dijo Alfonso Herrera.
“Creo que es algo muy positivo para el grupo. Estamos muy agradecidos de que nos hayan considerado”, agregó.
Mayté Perroni, la pelinegra del conjunto de pop dijo que además de la candidata de México, le “gusta mucho” la aspirante de Brasil. Precisamente el grupo ha tenido éxito arrollador en ese país.
Interpretaron el tema “Wanna play”, que sirvió de marco para el desfile en traje de baño.
Los integrantes de RBD aparecieron al centro del escenario sin parar de cantar el tema “Cariño mío”, al tiempo que desfilaban India, México, Japón, Ucrania, Tanzania, Corea y República Checa.
La energía del grupo musical mexicano cerró con el tema “Money, money”, mientras el resto de las representantes no elgidas entre las 15 semifinalistas bailaban en la gran estructura de metal al fondo del escenario.
